Class IV hitches are for up to 10,000 lbs. GTW and 1,000 to 1,200 lbs. of tongue weight. The class 4 trailer hitch is usually a weight-distributing hitch to allow safer towing of large loads like recreational camper trailers, single horse trailers, large boats, heavy equipment trailers, etc. Class 4 trailer hitches will have a 2" receiver opening and are custom fit for your vehicle.
