cutting, soldering, or taping any wire (unless stated otherwise). If
a custom wiring kit is not available you will find a link directing
you to a universal converter trailer wiring kit or a kit that
will let you attach a simple 4-wire flat trailer plug to your vehicle's wiring
harness. It is always better to use a custom wiring kit since
it will be faster and easier to install, and a custom trailer
wiring kit always provides a more secure connection. Non-custom kits
usually require you to cut, splice, and tape wires.
