Pontiac Trailer Hitch Receivers The Pontiac car company has come a long way since 1893, the year the Pontiac Buggy Company was organized in Pontiac, Michigan. A few years later a section of that production facility was converted to make some of the first automobiles. In 1926 the Pontiac - the "Chief of the Sixes" - debuted at the New York Auto Show. Based partly on that success, the Pontiac Motor Division came to be in 1932. While we don't have trailer hitch receivers for those early models, we do have trailer hitch receivers for the models listed below. These trailer hitch receivers are made by quality manufacturers like Hidden Hitch, Valley, and Putnam. (Please note that not all classes of trailer hitch are available for all model/year Pontiac cars.) All of these trailer hitch receivers share these features:
- Custom fit - each trailer hitch is designed for the year/model car listed
- Class I: (typically) 200 lbs. tongue weight with (typically) 2000 lbs. gross trailer weight (any/all variations to these loads are described on each page featuring the specific trailer hitch)
- Class II: 300 lbs. tongue weight with 3,500 lbs. gross trailer weight
- Class III: 350-1,200 lbs. tongue weight with 3,500-12,000 lbs. gross trailer weight
- Corrosion resistant black paint
- All feature a lifetime limited warranty!
- PLEASE NOTE: Hitch ball, trailer wiring kit and accessories sold separately.
- PLEASE NOTE: Some trailer hitch receivers for Pontiac vehicles will require drilling to complete the installation.
