Subaru Trailer Hitch Receivers Formed in 1953, the Subaru car company is the automotive branch of Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) of Japan ("subaru" means "unite" in Japanese). In 1965 it became the first Japanese automaker to provide front-wheel drive passenger cars. We carry a variety of quality Class I and Class II trailer hitch receivers by Hidden Hitch and Putnam that are designed to fit the Subaru vehicles listed below, which include front- and all-wheel drive models. All of these trailer hitch receivers share the following:
- Class I: 200 lbs. tongue weight with 2000 lbs. gross trailer weight (some trailer hitch recievers may vary)
- Class II: 300 lbs. tongue weight with 3,500 lbs. gross trailer weight
- All feature a corrosion resistant black paint.
