They can convert independent bulb systems to the common bulb system of the average trailer, or merely connect the common bulb system of tow vehicle to the same type of system in the trailer. NOTE: The convertor modules used in these kits provide up to 2.1 amps per function (turn signal, brake light) which is sufficient for normal light to medium trailers. If you need more power consider a power
taillight converter - they provide up to 5.0 amps per function (turn signal,
brake light).
